Lawn Care Program
Lawn Maintenance Program

Lawn Care Services Included in a Standard Package:
1. Lawn Mowing
Lawn mowing is the cornerstone of any lawn care package. Regular mowing keeps your yard looking neat and tidy. Professionals use specialized mowers tailored to different grass types, cutting the lawn at the optimal height based on environmental conditions and grass variety.
2. Lawn Edging
Lawn edging is essential for a clean and polished appearance. It creates distinct boundaries between your lawn and walkways or flower beds, providing a sculpted, organized look. This service enhances the overall aesthetics of your yard by dividing it into well-defined sections.
3. Weed-Eating
Weed-eating, or trimming, addresses areas the mower cannot reach, such as edges, fences, or around trees. This service ensures grass is cut evenly across your yard. Professionals use tools like weed eaters to trim these areas safely while wearing protective gear to guard against debris like rocks or mulch.
4. Grass and Small Leaf Blowing
Fallen leaves and grass clippings can invite pests and diseases if left unattended. Blowing these away is an integral part of lawn care, giving your yard a clean, well-maintained appearance. This service ensures your lawn remains lush, vibrant, and free of debris.
5. Skimming the Pool (If Applicable)
If you have a swimming pool, lawn care services may include skimming its surface to remove any debris generated during the mowing or maintenance process. This final touch leaves your property looking pristine and ensures your pool stays clean.
Weed & Fertilization Program
Weed Control & Fertilization Schedule
Core Lawn Care Components:
- Weed Control:
- Pre-emergents: Apply twice a year (Feb-May and Aug-Nov) to prevent weeds like crabgrass and spurge. Timing is critical.
- Post-emergents: Use during April-September to target visible weeds such as nutsedge and dandelion. Ensure soil temperatures are above 55°F.
- Fertilization:
- Test soil to determine specific nutrient needs.
- Use fertilizers with Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) for healthy growth.
- Opt for slow-release products for sustained feeding or all-mineral formulas for immediate results.
- Soil Testing and Rejuvenation:
- Regularly test soil for deficiencies, especially in nitrogen.
- Address issues like compaction or dryness with rejuvenation techniques beyond standard fertilization.
- Mowing:
- Mow weekly during active growth; switch to bi-weekly or monthly when dormant.
- Never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade height at a time.
- Watering:
- Water deeply (1 inch, twice a week), early in the morning.
- Avoid midday watering (evaporation) and nighttime watering (fungal risks).
- Aeration and Dethatching:
- Aerate soil to improve root health and nutrient absorption.
- Remove excessive thatch (layers over ½ inch) to regulate temperature and moisture.
- Leaf Removal:
- Clear fallen leaves to prevent fungal infections, mold, and suffocated grass.

Fertilization Schedule
Spring:
- Apply pre-emergents and post-emergents as needed.
- Fertilize, aerate, and test soil.
- Lay sod or seed in bare areas. Resume regular mowing.

- Fertilize and raise mower blade height.
